![]() I have always loved singing, school choirs, singing my own songs that I have written, singing with my sisters...I come from quite a musical family and it has always been a big part in our lives. I have only moved to Brisbane about 3 years ago, and I don't go out much so most of my friends are from work. Over the last 6 months I have been craving to sing a bit more, my song writing skills have been pretty dormant recently and I really was looking for an outlet. I had actually been looking at choirs a while before I joined BLGPC, I wanted something that was fun, community driven, but not too full on and sang some good songs. I couldn't seem to find anything, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough! Then out of the blue my hairdresser asked me if I would like to join his lesbian and gay choir, I was so happy he asked. I contacted them that night and joined in the next weeks rehearsals. Everyone was so nice, so inviting and I felt at home straight away. That first practice I enjoyed so much that I signed up for the semester straight away. I've only been in the choir 1 semester now and I love it! Great people, great songs, Tim our musical director is fantastic and we sound great! What a fun atmosphere to come together and sing and just enjoy the sound of our lesbian, gay, bi, trans and straight community together. I would encourage anyone who loves to sing and wants to be a part of a group to come along! We'd love to have you on board. Mads xo Additional Information:
